Winning Eleven 2008


Critically acclaimed, multi-million selling and still the most respected football title on the planet, Winning Eleven continues to be one of Konami’s flagship titles. Winning Eleven 2008 features a brand new intelligence system, called Teamvision, that adapts and reacts to players own gameplay styles to ensure that the computer controlled opponents are always challenging and forcing the player to think and chance their style of play to avoid being out-thought by the game. It will learn counter attacks that target your weaknesses and look to exploit any repetitive tactics players use.

Defenders react better to danger, closing down the ball and charging at shots and the goalkeepers will hold shots that are closer to them as well. Teammates will make more intelligent runs into space and the close control has been sharpened to ensure quick and fluid passing and speedy attacks can be built. The next gen versions also feature extensive edit modes so players can completely customise their Winning Eleven 2008 experience.

Star Wars Battlefront 2

Star Wars Battlefront II for PSP is similar to its recently announced console counterpart with space combat, playable Jedi, and Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith content, yet it still boasts several distinct features meant to embrace the “on-the-go” nature of a handheld system. The game includes several unique mini-campaigns as opposed to the much longer campaign seen on consoles. Players can join the Rebellion as a smuggler, work for themselves as a mercenary for hire, or use their Imperial sniping skills to rid the galaxy of pesky species like Jawas, Ewoks and Gungans. Wi-Fi compatibility permits up to four players to join in at once, either cooperatively or competitively, and they can also partake in classic Instant Action mode to fight their favorite Star Wars battles any way they want to.

Archibalds Adventures

You control Archibald on his skateboard trying to find his way out of Professor Klumpfus� creepy mansion/laboratory by hopping across gaps, avoiding mutants, flicking switches, moving boxes and teleporting, with the aim of reaching the exit door for each of the levels.

Archibald jumps automatically where needed just by pushing the controls left or right. He can jump �one block� high or across. If he has roughly three blocks of open space he�ll be able to get a bit of speed going to clear bigger gaps.

Early on you get to use the bubble gun which can be used to fire large bubblegum-like spheres which can move crates around. You can float the bubble through gaps and upwards to reach otherwise inaccessible switches too. Things get more complicated as you go with some barriers blocking your bubbles, or you�ll have to use explosives to clear the way. You�ll even get a cool machine to replace your skateboard, a human metal hamster-ball which can grab onto metal surfaces and crush blocks.

Considering the large amount of levels, it�s surprising to see how often new elements are introduced to keep you interested. Puzzles constantly shift from working out how to create smooth surfaces for running jumps, creating staircases, or gently moving a crate through the air with a bubble being careful not to burst it on the spikey vines sticking out everywhere. Timing, logic, balance and brave jump-judging all come into play to create a gripping experience.

Harukanaru Toki no Naka de 3: Unmei no Labyrinth


One rainy day Nozomi Kasuga and her two friends encounter a strange boy at their high school, who sends them hurtling across time and space to a place in another world called Kyō. This place bears a strong resemblance to Kyoto at the end of the Heian period, where the Minamoto clan (Genji), led by Minamoto no Yoritomo (based on the historical Minamoto no Yoritomo), is at war with the Taira clan (Heike), led by Taira no Kiyomori (based on the historical Taira no Kiyomori). The Heike hope to defeat the Genji by releasing vengeful spirits (onryō) to disturb the Earth’s natural flow of energies and to terrorize the land. The boy that Nozomi met is revealed to be the human form of HakuryÅ«, the White Dragon God said to protect Kyō, whose powers have greatly weakened due to the presence of the onryō. Nozomi discovers that she has the power to seal the onryō as HakuryÅ« no Miko (白龍の神子, Priestess of the White Dragon?), and she allies herself with the Genji in order to seal the onryō, restore HakuryÅ«’s powers, and return home to her own world.

Mytran Wars

Mixing giant robotmechs with traditional turn-based strategy, Mytran Wars drops players in the middle of an epic 23rd-century battle for resources. Having exhausted all of Earths natural resources, the ruling conglomerates head off into space in search of new raw materials. But the planet they discover is inhabited by an equally advanced race, and the aliens want no part of a human invasion. Gamers can choose to join the humans and their mechanical robots, or dig in with the alien inhabitants to protect their homeland. Four single-player campaigns are spread out across 30 missions, and there are six different technology trees that offer gamers more than 250 researchable items.
